In psoriatic plaques (A-C'), Notch2, Jagged1 and Manic Fringe genes are down-regulated in the basal layer, and transcripts are mainly located at the tips of the dermal papillae (arrowheads). In psoriatic skin, treated by phototherapy (D-F'), gene expression levels are restored to those of normal control skin (arrowheads).
