Table 2 Applied NXB exclusion criteria

From: Enzymatic debridement for the treatment of severely burned upper extremities – early single center experiences

NXB contraindications as listed by manufacturer (see [7])

 

 Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to pineapples or papain or to any of the excipients

 

Additional exclusion criteria applied in our Burn Center

 

 Pregnant and nursing women,

 Chemical or electrical burns,

 Age of burn injury >48 h
